Since its founding in 1985, Daxer & Marschall has established an international reputation for high standards of expertise and quality. The firm specializes in 16th to 20th-century European paintings, oil sketches, drawings and sculptures, with its primary strength in 19th-century art. Daxer & Marschall has diversified international contacts, working closely with major international museums and private collectors. The firm exhibits at the two leading specialist art fairs: TEFAF Maastricht and TEFAF New York Fall. Every year Daxer & Marschall publishes a well-researched catalogue showcasing a selection of the firm’s stock.
Art is our passion. We have a dedicated interest in works of art. We are fascinated by the ingenuity of individual artists – especially those who broke new ground by departing from tradition. What sets them apart from their contemporaries? We focus on artists who were cutting edge in their time and – precisely for that reason – continue to fascinate today.
Our stock is carefully selected. Although we specialize in high-quality works, we take pride in also covering a price range that will enable someone with a limited budget to acquire a great work of art.
We warmly welcome visitors to our spacious premises situated opposite the Neue Pinakothek at the heart of Munich's museum quarter. Access to the gallery is convenient. Visit us and enjoy the opportunity to see, show and discuss pictures in a discreet and comfortable setting. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and by appointment.
We act both as principals and as agents in the purchase and sale of works of art. We are able to offer advice on all aspects of collecting. This includes advice on the purchase and sale of works of art, as well as on framing, conservation, insurance and lighting. We also provide curatorial services for collections.
